Young John Robert Ellis. while
swinging at his home several days ago,
had the misfortune to fall and break
his leg just above the ankle. Although
suffering some pain, he is on the road
to Improvement.
Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Dobbins and chil
dren of Caroleeti, N. C. spent the week
end with Mr. J. Lee Langston. Mr.
Dobbins is .superintendent of two large
cotton mills in North Carolina, the
Henrietta and Caroleen mills.
Mr. John D. Mills, son of Mr. J. D.
Mills, of Parksdale, who has been
sick for several weeks at Abbeville,
was brought home Friday evening.
Although already much improved, he
is not yet able to sit up. Mr. Mills,
who-is a member of the University
ball team, was playing ball with the
Abbeville team when he became sick.
Ills many friends hope for an early
recovery.
Mr. Carl W. Reeves visited friends
and relatives In this city during the
i past week. He recently returned to
his home near Gray Court after a most
successful year of teaching in the
Fishburne Military School, of Waynes
boro, Virginia, lie has contracted to
return to this institution In September

Knill Improves Conditions.
