Albany, Ga., Aug. 6.?Georgia's first
bale of cotton was brought to Albany
| late last night but not by Deal Jack
: son, the negro farmer of Dougherty
county, who for years iias been the

j was raised by Mr. H. A. Crnlney, of
; Raker county and was sold this morn
j ing for 30c per lb. The bale weighed
j 112 lbs. and was graded middling. It
I was rushed to Savannah where it will

Death of an Infant.
Last Thursday morning the little

died at their home here. The little one

Work Has Commenced on New Depot.
