EVERYBOBY INVITED TO ATTEND THE Cooking Demonstration Given Under the Ausoices of M J. B. Kershaw Chapter U.D.C In the Gray=Dial Block on Main Street The ladies of the J. B. Kershaw Chapter, Daughters of the Confederacy of Laurens, have completed arrangements for a combination of Practical Cooking Demonstrations and Lectures to be conducted in the Gray=Dial block on Main Street. The Demonstrations will begin Monday, May 23d, with luncheon, and will continue with luncheon and tea for three days. The lunch eons will be served from 12:30 p. m. to 2:30 p. m., and tea from 6 p. m. to 7:30 p. m. An expert crew of cooking demonstrators representing The Southern Cotton Oil Company, will be in charge of these demonstrations and will show by practical tests and lectures, the many uses of Wesson Snowdrift Oil for Salads and Cooking, the food product being demonstrated. On request these ladies will prepare special dishes to prove the value of this vegetable oil for all cooking purposes. New and better methods of cooking will be discussed, that will be helpful to every woman interested in culinary work. The Southern Cotton Oil Co. has donated as many 8 ounce cans of Wesson Snowdrift Oil as the ladies can dispose of for ten cents a can. Proceeds from the sale of this oil, and from the luncheons and teas will be devoted to the monument fund of the U. D. C, for a moument to be erected in September.
