I- .Marlin, a native ami ? former citizen of I.aureus county, died at his home in Greenville last Thursday. The tlreenville News of Friday has the following uccount of his death: i Dr. George Lafayette Martin died yesterday morning at his home on the Buncombe road about ten o'clock, in the death of this man. He went to school in Laureus county and then came to Pur man university I in tlreenville, ami graduated there, j taking the de'lee of 11. A. After 1^ graduating at l<'urman, he studied med icine at the Halt (more Medical college, at Baltimore, Mil., after which he prac ticed medicine in Laureus county for about eighteen years. He sttitled out on his life's career quite young, hav ing been practicing medicine when he was still a minor. Since he began to practice, however, he took two post graduate courses at the Baltimore college. Twenty live years UgO, Dr. Marlin married Miss Auiiit L. Stepp, a daugh ter of the Rev. A. ('.
