Wednesday was an Interesting occa
sion. Qiute a good crowd was pres
ent, a number Of visitors from I.au
reus, Waterloo and Mount vllle. The
program arranged was carried out
only Mr. J. J. McSwnln, one of the
speakers, could not be here. Dr. Mil
ler end Col. .1. II. Wharton made good
addresses. Miss Leila Nance of Duo
West recited a beautiful selection.
We say well done to our women. The

Well. All honor to them! Since our
women have done so much to honor

Harmony, July :f.?On last Sunday
the Sunday school of this place gave
one of (he most touching and inter
esting programs that has been given
for many years in old Harmony
church. The Sunday school seems
to lie Improving In many ways. Af
ter the program was finished Rev. N.
(!. ncthea, the pastor, gave an excel
lent talk ami brought out many inter
esting points on mission work. The
people seemed to lie touched for those
in the heathen lands, as the collection
was almost twice as much as ever
taken on childrcns' day at Harmony.
The farmers of this section arc hav
ing trouble with the mass; it seems
thai some sunshine would be very
much appreciated.
Mrs. Lnrkin Hughes, who has been
visiting in this community, has re
turned to her home in Tic-kens.
.Miss Ksteiie Taylor of Princeton
was in this section Sunday.
Mrs. Tom Downey of I.aurcs has
been visiting in this section.

another cotton bloom in a letter from
Gray Court signed Robert Hill, in
which he says ii is (he 11.st cotton
bloom he has seen ibis season. He
lives on Mr. W. Ii. Martin's place and
says he has a line crop We are glad
to h.ar this and to see the bloom.
