Governor Ansel Offers $75.00 Reward
lor the Capture of John Henry
Anderson.
Governor Ansel has issued a proclama
tion, a copy of which was received here
last week, offering a reward of seventy
five dollar.; for the capture of John
Henry Anderson, colored, wanted for
assault and battery and for murder.
It is recalled that on the 1st of Septem
ber Anderson shot and killed his father
in-law, Josh Carter, at Cedar Grove,
negro church, near Waterloo, where
Carter and numerous relatives had gone
to bury one of Carter's children. An
derson's ?wife had gone back to live
with her father, which fact doubtless
caused the hatred of Anderson toward
Carter. The killing was of a horrible
nature, Carter being shot down from
the rear at the grave of his child.
Some time ago Anderson shot Mr.
Irving Benjamin in the face with a load
fromashotgun, inflicting severe wounds.
He is wanted for both these crimes.
It's n pity when sick ones drug the
stomach or stimulate the Heart and I
Kidneys. That is all wrong! A weak
Stomach means weak Stomach nerves
always. And this is also true of (he
Heart and Kidneys. The weak nerves
are instead crying out for help. This
explains why Dr. Shoop's Restorative
is promptly helping Stomach', Heart
and Kidney ailments. The Restorative
reaches out for the actual cause of
these ailments ?the failing "inside
nerves." Anyway test the Restorative
48 hours. It won't cure so soon as that,
but you will surely know that help is
coming. Sold by Palmetto Drug Co.

A Traveling Man's Experience.
"I must tell you my experience on
an East bound O. R. & N. R. R. train
from Pcndleton to Le Grande, Ore.,''
writes Sam A, Garber, a well known
traveling man. "I was in the smoking
department with some other traveling
men when one of them went out into
the coach and came back and said,
'There is a woman sick unto death inj
the car.' I at once got up and went
out, found her very ill with cramp
colic, her hands and arms were drawn
up so you c Nuld not straighten them
and with a <. athhke look on her face.
Two or thro : ladies were working with
her and giving her whiskey. I went to
my suit case and got my bot tle of Cham
berlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea
Remedy (I never travel without ill,
ran to the water tank, put a double dose
of the medicine in the glass, poured
some water into it and stirred it with a
pencil, then I had quite a time to gel
the ladies to let me give it to her, but
I succeeded. I could at once sei' the
elfect and I worked with her, rubbing
her hands, and in twenty minutes I gave
her another dose. By this time we
were almost into Le Grande, where I
was to leave the train. I gave the bot
tle to the husband to be used in case
another dose should be needed, but by
the time the train ran into Le Grande
she was all right and I received the
thanks of every passenger in the car."

Tbc public has been led to believe
through newspaper reports that the
price of Diamonds will be lower.
!?7 per cent of the Diamonds mined

the Dee Heers and the Premier Mining

the price of Diamonds as it did during
