Miss Lucile Hix is visiting relatives
in Clinton.
Mr. Hugh Mahon, of Eden, was
among the visitors in the city Friday.
Mr. Hugh Divver, traveling repre
sentative for The Greenville News, was
in the city Friday.
Miss Llllie Earle Sadler, of Rock Hill,
arrived in Laurens Friday and is visit
ing Mrs. W. H. Dial.
Mr. Edgar W. Boyd, of Greenville,
has been appointed superintendent of
the oil mill in Clinton.
Miss Lucilo Calmes, a charming
young lady of Greenville, spent Mon
day and Tuesday with her cousin, Miss
Dorcas Calmes.
Miss Net Spratt, of Chester, after a
few days' visit to her old schoolmate,
Miss Mae Dell Barr, returned to her
home Monday.
Dr. G. C. Albright attended the con
vention of dentists in Columbia last
week. He was accompanied by Mrs.
Albright.
The Hon. R. Goodwyn Rhett, of
Charleston, announces today in The
Advertiser his entry to the Senatorial
Contest. See his card.
Mr. Frank Condor, of Greenville,
was in Laurens last week filling the
place of Operator Nelson at the depot
while the latter was in Asheville.
Mr. .1. A. Willingham, who has been
engaged in painting here for the past
several months, finding Laurens such
an inviting field for his trade, lias moved
his family to the city from Anderson.
Messrs. A. B. Langston and G. W.
Cunningham, of Madden, were in the
city Saturday. Mr. Langston has just
received his Th. M. degree at the Lou
isville seminary and Mr. Cunningham
his Ph. D. at Cornell. Both are grad
uates at Furman university also.
