There was a little advance in spot cotton yesterday, the Laurens market closing at 11*. New York closed a few points off while Liverpool quotations were up at the closing. The receipts continue rather light on the market, for October. At a meeting of the Laurens County Farmers' Union Friday a resolution was adopted endorsing the action of the National association in placing the min imum price at 15 cents, and it urged that all hold for that price if possible.
