Excess
'm Of Smoking Affected
My Heart
So I Had To Sit Up
To Breathe.
Dr. Miles* Heart Cure
Cured Me.
There is nothing that has a more deleterious
effect upon the cardiac or heart nerves
than the excessive use of tobacco. Fain and
tenderness around the heart, an oppressive
feeling in the chest, choking sensation in the
throat, discomfort from sleeping on the lett
side and smothering spells at night when the
sufferer has to sit up in bed to breathe are
the most common svmptoms of a weak heart.
Smokers who lecl these symptoms and who |
do not understand their meaning should be I
warned in time, by the following expcrcncc:
"X was greatly troubled with an affection
of the heart, due 1 think to excessive smoking.
On writing to you for advice I was directed
to begin a course of treatment which in1
eluded Dr. Miles' Heart Cure, Dr. Miles'
^ Nervine and Nerve and Liver Fills, together
with bathing, etc. I faithfully followed the
directions given and am pleased to say that
my cure is complete and permanent. Before
beginning the use of your remedies I
was so nervous 1 could not keep my hands
still and suffered greatly horn severe pains
around the heart. Many times at night I
would be forced to assume a sitting posture
to get my breath, and for the time being it
would seein as though my heart had Stopped
beating. From the splendid results achieved
in my case I can cheerfully recommend Dr.
Miles' Heart Cure. Restorative Nervine and
other remedies to all sufferers from heart or
nervous troubles."?Yours truly, Elijah

More Sensational Changes.
New York, Jan. 4.?ShU further
sensational price changes
were awaiting the cotton trade
Monday. Cables were low. An
English cotton expert has esli
mated the crop at 11,250,000

concerning t he tar eastern
situation were more optimistic
the uncertainty in that respect
exerted an unfavorable influence
on prices. The market here
opened weak at a decline of 34 to

to 2 3 of a cent per pound with

Trading was less active after

New Orleans, Jan. 4 ?The cot.

the clos? of Thursday. During
the morning the tone was feverish
and prices were held down
trom and wide reactions by a
flood of selling orders. Neill's
estimate of 11,250,000 bales was
generally laughed at. Brown
was the only aggressive supporteol
the market. There was nothing
doing in the spot market.
The inquiry was limited and
there was absolutely no offerings
