He Sees Things.

the Baptist State convention
here today Kev. J. C. Massee,
pastor of the ivuieigh Baptist
tabernacle, speaking of the church
paper said : "I believe the day
will come when the license of
editors of our great daily papers
will have to be curtailed. These
editors are exerting too much inlluence
and power over tho popu
lar mind, too often not wisest and
best and I believe the day is not
far distant when the government
will have to lay the strong arm
of the law on the press and repress
abuses."
Mr. Massee believed that this
condition laid a great burden on
the religious press to correctly
load and fairly interpret the
aspect of racial problems.
A number of delegates immediately
asked for recognition and
