brought to an earlv close, an adjournment
will probably betaken
until Friday and theu an adjournment
until Monday or Tuesday.
It is suggested that it is exfremly
doubtful if there will bo a quorum
Tuesday, ami, if the point of no
quorum should be raised,it would
be impossible to act on a concurrent
resolution providing for an
adjournment, even should one be
brought over lion the senate
Some of the house leaders have
expressed themselves i,n oposition
to an adjournment belore the Cuban
bill shall have been disposed
o*} but what might be the result
ot a conference between the load
ers of the senate and house on
his proposition remains to be
seen. It is possible that the
speaker fhay be ready to announce
the committee assignments so that
at the opening of (he regular session
next month the house can
