A REVOLTING CRIME
Committed by White Men in
Aiken County.

Surasky, a Jew peddler living
in Aiken, was murdered near
Hawthorne, in Aiken county,
011 Wednesday evening, l>y two
white men, George Toole and
Leo Green.
The body was not discovered
until Friday evening, and Surasky's
family wa* not notified

On last Tuesday, Mr.Surasky
loaded his wagon with his packs
and started on his rounds. As
was his custom, he is supposed
to have stopped atGreen's house
to sell his wares, and it was
then that the two men carried
out their plan of robbery and
murder.
Surasky was shot twice in the
back with a gun, one arm was
almost severed from his body,
and his head and body were
hacked horribly with an axe
When the body was discovered
it was impossible to recognize
any semblance of a human being
