trials ever occurring in Gallatin
county came to an end Saturday
afternoon about 4 :15 p. m. The
trial of the case of State vs. J.
Barr Harris commenced Tuesday
of laRt week, and with the excep4k
tion of Thursday, on which day
the complaining witness was too
ill to attend the trial, it lasted
until Saturday, when the case
g was placed in the liauds of the
jury, composed of (}. W. King,
George Salley, Walter Sprague,
Charles Raphe, Thomas G. Davis,
J. D. Grosebeck, U. IJL (iardner,
F. L. Neugard, E. J. Oallentine,
Jevmour Cunningham and A. K.
Crail. The jury was out for over
thirty hours, hringing in their
verdict shortly before midnight
Sunday The verdict was: "We

by Judge Stewart, who thanked
them for their services, and he
