I on either house or furniture. former Luticuster Ho // News reached here Sunday ol 1 , the death ot' Mr. John II. Williamson, son ol the late S. K. Williamson, formerly of this county. He was shot Saturday night by a man by the name ot Young, in Hamlet, N. C., and died in about hall an hour alter ward. Mr.Williamson went with a friend ot his into a barroom, and while in there Young began cursing Williamson's friend. Williamson asked Young to stop cursing, when Young replied, "I'll curse you, too," and immediately pulled his pistol and shot Williamson. Williamson is said to have been a very quiet, sober young man. He is a nephew of I Mrs. J. F. Hunter ot this place and of Mr. A. C. Williamson of the county, and his untimely death is greatly lamented. The murderer lied, and at last account of him he was still at large. Died on the Koadalile. Mrs. Maliuda Beaver, wife of Mr. Anderson Beaver of the O K | section, died Thursday afternoon last on the roadside about a mile from her heme while returning Jrotn a visit to relatives in the New Cut section.
