1st. A tax of fifty cents on

and personal property .within the
corporate limits of the Town ot
Lancaster, S. 0., due and payable
between tirst and thirty-first
days ot October, U?03. at the
cflice ol the Town Treasurer ; and
all taxes Hue and remaining unpaid
or the 1st day ol .N ivcmber,

penalties and costs as are now or

State Jaws for the 11011 payment
ol taxes wlren due. And the
Town Treasurer alter deluult in
the payment of said taxeb, shall
issue execution directed to any

ing the mode for collecting de
linquent taxes as now provided
State laws.
2nd. The following licenses
shall be paid in advance 011 or
for the following vocations, busi
n^sses or privileges, and it shall
be unlawful for any ono to engago
iii or follow any of the lollowing
businesses or vocations within the
corporate limits of the Town with
out lirsL paying the license hereinafter
stated lor said calling or
business; and where the license
is based upon income from said
business or vocation for the last
fiscal year ending December 31st,
1902; shall be the basis for the
amount to be paid, and it shall be
the duty of each person, firm or
corporation lollowing any busi
nees or calling whore license is
bused upon income, to furnish the
Town Treasurer, Qpon demand,
with a statement, under oath,
showing the amount derived from
said business or vocation for the
last fiscal year ending December
31st, 1902, and m any case where
license is desired to follow any of
said vocations or businesses during
the fiscal year 15)03 that are
based upon income for same, by
beginners, new coiners or transient
practitioners, ttie lowest
schedule shall be the amount to
be paid for the year or any part
thereof, when not otherwise specified
