Me.
When the nervous system hp' been shattered
by the u-se of deadly drug1- there is
nothing to equal L)r. Miles Nervine in restoring
it to health and normal activity.
"1 feel r.o grateful for what Dr. Miles' Restorative
Nervine has done for tr.c thai 1
must tell it for that part of humanity that
suffers as 1 have. During the three years
i suuered from nervous prostration 1 fouud
no relief esccpt when doctors gave morphine.
To get rid of suffering 1 took morphine myself
as it was the only thing that would give
eaie, and now you, who poiut w 1th scorn at
morphine using, how could you, when in
such agony, knowing it about the only thing
that would give relief, resist it? I Knew it
was a terrible habit and I knew of!ts
grasp, but 1 never hjly realiied its rigoincaucc
until I had used it a number of mounts.
Oh, the misery of being addicted to such ..
habit. 1 resolved then aud there to quit it
* and resolved I would pever be a slave to any
such demon. About this time 1 happened to
notice. Dr. Miles' Restorative Nervine adver
>tised and ordered a battle. After uung five
bottles I can truthfully say I am cured of
using morphine. Now. however much peruon^.
may noubt it, God is my witne-s I am
cured. This testimonial Is unsolicited but I
feel it my duty to give it for th" benefit of the
suffering."?Mattik Phiu-ips, Prescott, Ark.

Where "Our Father" ('omeH In.
Among the 6tories told to the
Christian Endeavorors while they
were in Boston was one concerning
a peripatetic of the barefooted
variety and a farmer, who was
also a church deacon. The dea
con was taking lunch under his
own vine and tig tree, and unto
him the peripatetic said :
"Sir, I'm very hungry."
"You haven't been shaved,"
replied the deacon.
"No, but I'm very hungry."
"You're very dirty, into the
bargain."
# "Yes, but I'm very hungry."
"Well, can yon say the Lord's
prayer?"
"No, I can't."
"Will you say it for a piece of
bread ?"
"I will."
''The deacon Btarled in with
"Our Father," at the same time
cutting off a slice as he enunciated
the words. The tramp repeated
''Our Father," then sud-1
denly asked : I
"Did you say 'Our Father?'"
"Yes, 'Our Father.' "
"Slop just a moment," continued
the dirty man. You mean
your father and my father?"
m "1 do," answered the deacon.
"Then we are brothers," triumphantly
proceeded the unshaved.
"We are."
"Then for our father's sake,
cut that bread thicker and cut it
quicker.?Boston Herald.

The dropping of a pillow on
the sleeping person is the awaking
agent, and it is operated so
that the pillow falls at the desired
time. An ordinary alarm
clock is placed in a cigar box,
which lite it closely. It is then
nailed to the wall at the head ol
the bed. A string connects the
clapper of the alarm clock with
an ordinary spring mouse trap
fastened to the top of the cigar
box. By a system of small pulleys
and screw eyes a pillow is
fastened to the end of a string
and pulled to the ceiling directly
above the bod. An ingenious
arrangement connects the other
end of the string to the mouse
frap. The clock is set, and when
the alarm goes off the string attached
to the bell clapper springs
the mouse trap aud releases the
pillow, which drops on the persons
sleeping in the bed beneath.
