Many instances of accidental
inoculation are cited by Dr. Ravenel,
the majority of the victims
being men employed in handling
meats. He also attributes the
death of Thomas Wally, principal
of the Royal Veterinary Collego
of Edinburgh, to infection

autopsy on a tuberculous cow.

In summing up the evidence

and the same disease, and that
they are intercommunicable. Bovine
tuberculosis is, therefore, a
menace to human health. We
are not in a position at present
to define positively the extent of
this danger, but that it really exists
cannot be denied."

that a hirtner from the upper
section ol the county hail sold
two-quarters of beef to a butcher

the owner of the cow says that
