Mr. F. H. Wells, the merchant
at Deer Park, Long Island, N. Y.,
says: "1 always recommend
Chamberlain's Pain Balm as the
best liniment for strains. I used
it last winter for a severe lameness
in the side, resulting from a
strain, and was greatly pleased
with the quick relief and cure it
effected. Forsale by J. F. Mackey

Necklace ot Ants.
A necklace of black ants is an
article of adornment of New
Guinea. The Anglican mission
there gives particulars of one
which measured over eleven feet

many as 1,800 bodies of ants.
Three little pieces of shell and a
dozen English beads were incorporated
into it, and there was a
native string holding it together,
yet its weight only reached 2
drachms. 2 scruples, 13 grains.
These large black ants make big
nests in the native gardens and
the native women and girls catch
them, pull off their heads, bite
off and swallow the other end
and thread the "thorax."

In a recent article a prominent
physician says, "It is next to impossible
for the physician to get his patients
to carry out any prescribed
course of hygiene or diet tothesnialiPat

namely, the drug treatment." When
medicine* are used for chronic constipation,
the most mild and gentle
obtainable, such as Chamberlain's
Stomach A Liver Tablets, should be
employed. Their use is not followed
by constipation as they leave the
bowels in a natural and healthy condition.
