Senator Tillman has announced
that a competitive examination
will be held in Columbia
on the 28th inst. for the pur
pose of selecting fix young men
of this State who will be entitled
to compete in a civil service examination
for a cadetship at the
Annapolis Naval academy. The
applicants must be white and
residents of this State between
15 and 20 year* of age. No ptudent
who has been expelled from
college will be permitted to enter
the contest.
