is well known, Mr. Vaniandingham,
when quite a young man, enlisted as
a soldier in the Confederate war and
was badly wounded in the leg, which
rendered him a cripple for life, but
notwithstanding this affliction he has
supported himself and family by hard
^ work on his farm without murmuring
and has never asked for an office.
Therefore, a more deserving man
could not be elected Treasurer of Lancaster
