Columbia, July 7.?The thir teenth annual meeting of the Farmers State Alliance will convene on July 25 at 8:30 p. m. in the hall of the house of representatives It is likely that this meeting will be more largely attended and show more life in the debates than any meeting held in recent . years. The contest is all about what to do with the $18,000 which the Alliance received when it sold out the stock in the Farmers and Mechanics bank. Col. D. P. Duncan, manager of the exchange, wants the sum kept intact in the bank, or otherwise safely invested to establish exchanges in one or more places in the State, Mr. Joseph L. tfeitt and a number of others want the money divided out among the members of the various sub nllianceR which contributed to buy the stock which in the aggregate represents #18,000.? The following remarkable incidents occurred recently, according to the New York lit raid, in the proviuce of Honan, in China: Three men appeared be fore a Judge there, and each laid claim to the same woman as his wife. Not one of them would retire in favor of the other two, but each insisted that justice should be done to him.
