As the northbound passenger
train on the S. (J. & G. E road
passed the house ot Jordan Dunham,
colored, a mile west of
town Wednesday, the strong
wind that was blowing Iron) the
northeast carried a spark into his
crib and set fire to his corn and
roughness. The fire was discov
ered soon after it started, and
Jordan succeeded in putting it
out by a liberal application of
water, not however, until it had
burned over his corn and eonsiderbly
damaged a part of it. While
