DEMOCRATIC REORGANIZATION. The Democratic party is pre paring for reorganization for the State and national campaigns. The club reorganizations are to be affected on the fourth Saturday in next month, the county conventions are to. be held all over the Stabtf'on the first Monday in May a^id the State Convention for~tne purpose of electing delegates to the National Convention will assemble on the third Wednesday iii May. This Convention will also have to elect a national committeeman. There is already considerable speculation as to who will compose the South Car olina delegation, but the personnel of that delegation is purely a matter of conjecture; no man will be able to dictate who shall not of wjio shall be selected. A new State committee will also have to be elected. Shortly after this has been accomplished the new committee will have to meet and arrange for the State primary election, which selects Democratic electors as well as State officers. An early campaign will doubtless he arranged by Ihe committee. Of course there is much interest being manifested already in the coming contests and THE PROHIBITIONISTS are casting about to see what is what. Nothing has been heard from them since their recent ad dress to the people. It is not unlikely, however, that their State committee will hold a meeting at a very early date and make some announcement as to their purpose. It has been repeatedly stated of late that Col. James A. Iloyt will make the race for Gov ernor as a Prohibitionist. Gov. MeSweeney, of course, stands for reelection. Mr. Patterson audi Mr. Schumperf, Speaker Gray and Ex Governor Sheppard are among others mentioned as can didates.
