Cauthen who died suddenly that evening in the field where he was at work in the Elgin section. !le| was attacked about an Hour t>y sun and died in a few minutes. One of his sons who was nearby heard ""hi 8 father groan and went to him, but he could do nothing to relieve him. Ho complained of a pain in his chest and asked his son to rub him, but it did no good, and in a few minutes he breathed hie last. The verdict of the coroner's jury was that he came to his death from heart disease. Mr. Cauthen was about 55 years of age, and leaves several ohil dren, most ot whom are grown. To the Con tetter ate.
