in the opinion of this jury by his
wife. Mrs. Belle (iraddiek."
That was the verdict of the cor
oner's jury in the (iraddiek case?

dered last night after hearing the

had succeeded in obtaining during
the weeks that have elapsed since
the death of (Jraddick occurred.
The analysis of the stomach resulted
in showing arsenic in abun
dance by all tests, and the chem
ist declared that much more than
enough to produce death was
found. Arsenic mirrors made from
the arsenic found were presented.
The bottle, from which a witness
declared Mrs. (Jraddick had
been seen to pour something into
her husband's cofl'ee, found be
I ween the brick and woodwork of
the fireplace where this witness
said Mrs. (Jraddick had concealed
it after pouring some of its con
tents in the cofl'ee, was produced.
It contained some gray looking
fluid. The chemist had analyzed
some of the contents and declared
that it was arsenic in solution.
Another witness swore that
Mrs. (iraddick had come to her
and told her she would give $f>0
to get something to put her husband
to sleep so that he would
never again wake up.
The surgeon who made the
postmortem and the attending
physician unhesitatingly asserted
that all the symptoms of arsenical
poisoning were in evidence both
just prior to and after death.
These were the principal features
of the chain of evidence
that wound itself about the young
woman who was the wife of the
