I Cleaning Silver
Instead of scouring and rubbing each piece of
silver separately, the whole service can be as
effectively cleaned in a few minutes. After each
meal the silver should be put into a pan (kept
especially for the purpose) and cover with luke
warm water, to which a teaspoonfull of
I Gold Dust Washing Powder
M is added; act the pan on the range until the water
J>1 gets to boiling point, then lift out each piece with
M a wire spoon and lay on a soft lincncloth, wiping
dj quickly with chamois skin. The pieces so cleanjH
ed will be highly polished and look like new.

To the Teachers of Lancaster
County.
There were very few member*
present ?t the February meeting
of the Lancaster county Teachers'
Assoeia ion. This is a decided
indication of a lack >>f profession
interest on the part of many
teachers, and puts the teachers of
Lancaster county in (lie light of
unfavorable comparison with
those of other counties?where
those engaged in school work, are
showing earnestness, and desire I
