of paralysis. lie was about 70

?Mr. W. P. Nisbet of the
Jrtcksonham section was one of
the most forainate fanners the
past year we have heard of. He
helil his entire cotton crop, save
one hale, till yesterday when he
sold it lit 8 cents. He* raised
plenty of corn and other things
to run his farm on and his cot
ton crop, though a small one, is
a surplus to him.

Cotton has been bringing & ^
cents on this market tor the last
three days. "In Monroe." the
market about which we have t
preyiously heard so much, it is 1
bringing, we understand, 7 50 1
in all the surrounding towns it '
is worth less than in Lancaster. j
This price has brought out lots j
of cotton that has been lying ,
around the country. The sales t
here Wednesday were 207 bale . <
On Thursday 270 bales were t
marketed here and yesterday the 1
receipts did not fall tar short ol '
the previous days.
Up to Thursday night there
had been 031 bales hauled in
and marketed hero. To that add
J19 bales that had been stored
at the factory and that have
been sold this week, and we i
have a total of 750 bales sold ]
here in five days of this week, t

gets to the price it is now
