Death of Mr. ?/. K. Harmon.
Mr. J. K. Harmon, formerly of
this place, died at his home near
Cureton's store, Wednesday morning
at 12:00 o'clock, of typhoid
fever. The deceased Was a little
over 43 years of age, and leaves a
wife an 1 two sons, one brother,
Mr. M. C. Harmon, and t wo sisters,
Mrs. J. A. Est ridge and Mrs.
\V. J. Gamble, and mother, to
mourn his loss. His remains
were buried here in the old cemetery
Wednesday afternoon at 4
o'clock. His two sons are now
very sick with the same disease.

Miss Ola Wright, (laughter of
Mr. Barrel Wright, aged 17 years,
died at the factory, of typhoid
fever Wednesday evening. Her
remains were taken to Spring
Hill for interment Thursday.
Minnie Lyles, aged 8 years
died Wednesday morning ahout
10 o'clock a. m., of typhoid fever
at the home of her parents at the
factory. Her remains were buried
at White Bluff Wednesday alterternoon.
Death of Miss Janie Casket/.
Miss .lanie Oaskey, the 18 year ,
old daughter of Mr. John II. Oaskey
died at her home near Elgin
Wednesday night last, of typhoid
fever, after an illness of several
weeks. Iler remains were huried
at the Gills Creek cemetery
Thursday evening at 3 o'clock.
Three more of Mr. Caskey's family
is now very sick with the same
disease. Miss Minnie, who has
been very low, and not expected
to live, is considered at this writing
to be some better, and there
is some hope entertained for her
recovery. Most, of the family not
too sick have been moved away.
Little Johnnie was taken to the
home of bis brother, Mr. Alfred
Caskev. and Lee to that of hie
uncle, Mr. \V. I'. Caskey. Much
sympathy is expressed for the sad
ailliction that has befallen Mr.
Caskev's family.
