A good many of our citizens
have expressed themselves as being
well pleased with the idea of
a t<dl bridge being built in connection
with the new railroad
bridge over the Catawba river.
This would put Lancaster in
closer touch with a good and prosperous
section of country just on
the other side, and would ho the
means of bringing a lot of trade
here that would not come otherwise.
Would it not he well for
imp raiiroaci authorities to take
this matter up anil consider it$

Charlotte, N. C., recently, has
these observations in a late issue
of his paper which Lancasteriane
will do well to digest:
Charlotte has grown very rapidly
and solidly within the last
few years. There are several
causes for this but two main ones
are that there are numerous manufacturing

Charlotte has macadam roads
