DR. MILES' HEART CURE.
j|^ f ^
Mr. C. C. 8HULTS, of Wtntenet, Iowa,
Inventor and manufacturer of
Shults'Safety Whifllctreo Coupling,
writes of I)r. Miles' Heart Cure. "Two years
m ago an attack of LaGrippo left mo with a
mr< weak heart. I had run down In flesh to
mere ekln and bone. I could not sleep lying
down for smothering spells; frequent sharp
darting rains and palpitation caused a conjt
stant fear of sudden death, nothing could
Jw Induco mo to remain away from home over
night. My local physician prescribed Dr.
Miles' Heart Cure and In a few days I was
able to sleep well and the pains gradually
lessened, and finally ceased. I reduced the :
the doses, having gained fifteen pounds, and I
am now iccun? nutter in every way inun x. |

SIIO'i; A WillTK MAN.
Early this morning the inoh
dispersed, but squads of negroes
committed nutm-rotis outrages
before day fully dawned. One of
the most serious was the shooting
of William Mott about :'J0 a.m.,
while he was on guard duty on
the equate on which his family
resides. Three negroes were seen
to ?lip up behind him and one ol
them tired. The ball took effect
in his leg. He was carried into a
nearby house, but owing to the
threatening conditions, and there
being only one man in the house,
medical aid could not be summoned
until day.
Stones were east against a number
of houses and in several instances
windows were broken.
Kocks have been east from am
bush at the street cars a number
of times to-dav, and, it i- understood
that a number of threats
have been made to shoot several
conductors to nitht.
The fact is that very manv tie
iiroes have boycotted tile street
cars because the conductors will
not extend to nej?ro wotnen the

tense was committed several
weeks ajjo.before Bryant was suspended
from deputy sheriff service.
Threats were also made today
to kill Conductor Kurch,
whom Bryant assaulted.
The dillieulty between Bryant
and Fundi was on account of
Bryant's refusal to surrender a
transfer and assertion that lie
would rile lo his destination
whether or no. It was purely a
piece ot irlarinu ne^ro in-olence.
