Thorn Confesses.
i1 The jury in the case of Martin
: Thorn,charged withe the murder of
i Win. (luldon-mppe, in New York,
on last Tuesday, returned a verdict
of guilty of murder in the
first degree. The trial of Mrs,
Nack is to take place later. When
Thorn had been led back to his
cell after the conviction, he admitted
that the verdict was just,
- and that he, and Mrs. Neck, killed
(juldensuppe. This acKnowledgri
ment of his guilt took place while
Thorn's cell in the jail was being
'J prepared for him. During the
' trial Thorn had been under the
* charge of Police Captain Methven,
, of Flushing. Captain Methven
had him under his watchful 03*0
when the jail ollicials searched
the cell Thorn is to occupy for a
) day or two. While this was being
done, Thorn talked with tlm

body. Every word that Mrs.
Nack said upon the stand was
