MIS8IONARY TEA.
The tea given on Tuesday afternoon'
y Mrs. W. G. Jordan for the benefit
of the Home Missionary Seeiety was
n every respect a success. The ladies
who were present enjoyed the after
noon thoroughly, and the proceeds of
the tea far excelled the exp?ectations
f the members of the society. A
more deltghtful place thau Capt. Jor
dan's residence could not be found for
such an entertainment, and the rooms
prettily decorated with cut lowers and
pot plants looked very attractive. The
dainty refreshments were served by
the young ladies of the society, the
uests being seated at small tables*
The first tea haying proved such a
uccess the ladies will probably give
several more, and it is hoped that the
result will 'be that the chspel fund
will rapidly increase.
