IMLPORTANT SCHOOL MLATTER~S.
I hereby notify the clerks of the
several district boards that I have
made arrangemnents with the Lauder
cales whereby all school claims can be
discounted at 75 per cent. This is the
very best I could do, all thtngs con
sidered. Ti ustees will be governed
by the a'hore arrangemnents in making
out their claios. Where they have
contract-'d with persons for cash they
will add 7.4 per cent ; where they have
coaa:cted to pay off in certinlcates
hev wil not have to add any discount.
I desire to say foriher that I require
all claims~ to be signed by the clerks
of the diffe ent.bosrds, o her-wise they
will be unable to keep a correct book
or make a correct ieport , which the
law requires, and which I mnust
insist on being done.

The n'rriage of Mr. John E. tt.
tews to Mis Mamie Madden was per
formed at the A. R- P. Church on
Thursday evening at 5.&0 P. M.
Long before the hour appointed, the
house was filled with friends and
relatives of the principals of this event.
That restlessness and exp'ctat:cy
which characterixes all audience, at
church weddings was noticeable, and
as the appointee hour approached a
movement of all beads was rade wi:h
military precission in the direction of
the door as some belated spectator
would arrive.
The decorations b,re evidence to the
appreciation of the bride and groom
by their many friends. A festoon of
green and white draped gracefully
over the a.chway of the pulpit' while
around the pulpit was a beautiful ar
raugement of choice flowers tastily
placed by artistic hands.
The expe--ta ry of those present was
soon rthevtd by the stately :trea:l of
of the ushers who preceeded the bride
and groom in the fol:owintg ordrr: Mr.
C. W. Madden, brother of the bride,
with Mr. John H. McMaster, and Mr.
W. R. Elliott with Mr. W. M. Cathcart
The former pair advancing up the
right aisle, the latter up ,he left, each
couple taking a position on either side
fronting the pulpit. Then followed
the bride leaning on the arm of the
groom, coming up the left aisle and
taking a position in front of the minh
i,ter, Rev. C. McDonald, who per
fcrmedj a brief but irapressive cer
emony.
The bride wore a stylish traveling
gown of biown and electric blue cre
pon, carrying in her haud a bouquet
of choice chryantbemuais from Mi'ss
Garirsons conservatory. The groom
wore the regulation black suit.
After the ceremony the couple re
pa:red to the waiting room at the de
,ot and took the.6 o'clock train for
Atlanta, the best wishes of a host of
friends following them.
