is very little u:e to say that it was a
pleazant entertainment for every one
knows the qualification of Mr. and

The voting for the prettiest P.

Miss Delleny. The contest was lively
and full of interest. The cake to be

brought $12 50 and was won by Mizs

Mr. Jno. L. Beaty with his har

young ladies at the organ entertained
the assembly with sweet music, which
was much appreciaied.
The hours from 8.30 t about 12

BUFFALO BILL'S GREAT EXHIBI
TrION ALTERED, ENLARGED AND
IMPROYED.
The event in the amusement world
this year will be the adyent of Buffalo
Bill's Wild West. It is over eight
ears since this great educaticnal enter
tainment has been seen in this vicinity,
und in those yerars it has had an ex
perience and a career unequalled 'in
the world's bi-tor).
I has many times traversed the At
lantic; it was the crowning fea'ure at
the great Carnival in London in com
memoration of the fiftieth year of the
reign of Queen Vict,_ria; it disputed
with the Eiffel Tower the palm for
interest and success at the world's
Fair in Paris in 1889; it traversed
Europe, crossed the Alps and the
PGreees, and camped beneath the
alls of the Alhambra and within the
ast interior of t he Colosseum at Rome.
rinces, potentates and powers have
ll been guests at its tables and have
earned the lessons of the conqquest of
the New Wor;d from conqueror and
onquered. 4
The unofficial recognition of eight
overnments is necessary to secure the
different classes of h'orsemen who coim- t
pose the human interest of the show.

To give the performance in as com
plete form as it was given in Chicago
; required an auxiliary corps of 400
mploys, besides 400 arena performers,
800 in all. There are 225 draught
hore which are used to haul the
paraphernalia alone, besides the 300
urses used in the arena.
The magnitude of this enterprise,
which travels with all th~e require
ments of an army, is in itself a marvel.
It requires two trains to transport it,
ant carries with it not only an army
f mren and Lorses, but the largest
porable grand stand, capable of seat
ing 20,000 people, ever constructed,
and a portable electric light p!anrt of
220,000 candle-power, which gives "a
lustre of mnid.lay to objects below."
T.e entertsinment, too, has been
r atly al 'ered, enlerg'd and im
p- vedl durinig there apast eight years.
It s .t at the gates of the Great Co
lubiin Exposition at Chicago two
yeas ago, and as "the key to all," as
it was justly called, rivaled in interest
that greatmest achievement of civilized
Arra. gements have been made to
give the show in as complete a form
as it was p)resented in Chicago, at the
san:e time going through the country

of one da',, two days, one week and
two weeks, according to the size of

It presett the greatest series of ac

conceived arnd is veritably "history re
lated by the mc n who made it."
The many thrilling even's whlich
wir the bloo.1 ini literatnre are re- enart
ed by the participants. The Inrdia'r at
home; his habi's cdatomns and man
ners in peace and war; his amuse
mnente and his labors, are all depicted.
Te life of th:e scout, tl e emigrant,
the pioneer, the cow-puneber, and the
express rider, are all fuilly illustrated
with fascinating verisimiiituide.
Add-d to this is the great educa
tional feature, presenting the Congress
of Rough Riders of the World. From
the plains of Tartary and the steppes
of lussia. from the pampas of Srnth
Amrica, anid trom the flyinrg cavatry
of .1l tie gen.at fon dirg no-mine of
Europe, they come to bid us view
b'em in ft iendy rivalry .
The spectators' .seats have been ar
ranged in horse-shoe form, giving
everybody a full and perfect view of
the ;Irena. The top of the stand will
pro:cet from sun and rain. It will be
not only a great entertainment, but
an -ducational exhibit withou cqaal.
Every arrangement has been made for
public comfort, and at nigat not one
act will be omitted. Those who car
not attend in daytime are assured of
a complete exhibition at night. As
the Philadalphia Ledger said a few
days ago: "Anyone who misses sce
ilg the show must be placed in tLe
same category with the man who hm,s
never read 'Unclz Tom's Cabin.'"
Naturally, the great labor and the
propitious events which enabled
Colonel Cody (Buffalo Bill) to get to
zether this marvelous object lesson in
history will nev- be repeated, and
this opportunity see them shou;d
not be neglected. It will be in Co

Epilepsy 20 Years.
Cured by Dr. Miles' Nervine.
A few years ago. Mr. L. W. Gallaher, was
an extensive, successful expert manLu
acturer of lumber products. Attacked with
pilepsy, he was obliged to give up his bu.si
nelss. The attacks came upon him most in
pportunely. One time falling from a carri
age, at another down stairs, and often in the
street. Once he fell down a shaft in the
mill, his injurics nearly proving fatal. Mr.
allaer writes from Milw~aukec, Feb.16, '95.
"There are none more miserable than epi
eptics. For 20 years I suffered with epilep
tic ts, having as high as Eive in one night. I
tried any number of physicians, paying to
one alone, a fee of 3500.00 and have done
little for years but search for something to
help me, and have taken all the leading
remedies, but received no benefit. A year ago
my son, Chas. S. Gallaher, druggist at, 191
Reed St., Milwaukee, gave me Dr. Miles'
Restorative Nervine, and I tried It with
gratifying results. IIave had but two Eits
since I began taking it. I am better now in
every way than I have been in 20 years."
