Oak by a tramp who gave the name of
Critzeburg, and say s he hails from

there was a pile of cross ties on the
track, and that he saw three men put

hit him in dhe head with a stick. De
tective C. E. Ulall, who had just left
SWinnsboro on thatl train, took charge
of the mnan. The pl:ce was examined,
but no tracks we: e found except one,
which had mnars such as Cri.aburg's
soe igiht miake. Mr. Hall, who is
ever alert, brought the man to Winns
boro and he was commiitted in default
of bail.
