D A Miistake of the Lawyers. . i The South Carolina Bar Association has had three annual meetings; at the -- first meeting the annual address was S delivered by the Hon. John F. Dillon, of New York; at the second by Judge lJ Thomas M. Cooley, of Micdigan; at i the third by Mr. Joel Prentiss Bishop, le of Massaohusetts. e1 At the last annual meeting printed 18 copies of the address of Judge Cooley 0 were distributed among the members. i The title page of this pamphlet reads: ft "The Influence of Habits and Thought o upon our Institutions. Second An, ai nual Address, delivered before the t .South Carolina Bar Association by the 1 Hon. Thomas M. Cooley, of AnaI Arbor, Michigan." Judge Cooley will be surprised to learn that he has delivered two annual addresses before the Association. A Statesmanilko Document. Judge Cooley's address before the Bar Association in December, 1886, is g a profound and statesmanlike docu- N ment. It ought to be read and in wardly digested by every man who apprehends any danger of being here after sent to. the Legislature. It ought u to be read, too, by every intelligent J. voter.
