Davidson. Promptly at 8.80 o'clock, to the music of the grgan the bridal party came down the centre aisle to the front of the altar, the bride and groom being preceded by the ushers, Messrs. R. 0. Wright T. M. Nelson, E. Brooks S'igh and Beauregard Bucker. The bride looked beautifl in white silk, with veil of Illusion and a wreath of -orange blos. some. The Rev. W. 0. Lindsay per formed the ceremony, which was very brief but exceedingly impressive. Among those present were the young ladies oftheColumbia Female College, of which the bride is a lost year's graduate, who came in a body. Mr. and Mrs. Soruggs arrived in Winnsboro on Wednesday, and at once left for the residence of the father of the groom, where a reception was held in honor of the newly-wedded pair. After spending a few days with friends and, relatives in the county, they will return to Columbia where they expect to make their future home. MAnIAGS.-On Tuesday morning last Mr. D. A. McDowell,. accompa nied by several friends, left on a very Important mission in the western sec tion of the oounty. To him it was the day of days-his wedding day. At noon, at the residence of Mrs. Yar borough, mother of the bride, Mr. D. A. McDowell and. Miss Kate Yar borough were united-in the holy bonds of matrimony- A few friends h?A gathered at the residence to witness the ceremnony, which was performed by the Rev. 0. P. Wotsoo. After pare taking of an elegant: repast the bridal party left for Winnsboro, where they arrived in the afternoon. A reception was held at tihe residence of Mr. 8. 8. Gibson In the evening, where a party of friends welcomed the bride to our town. Our best wishes areo extended for the future happiness and prosperity of the lives so pleasantly begun. On Wedneay at 1 o'clock Mr. ,Gray B3oulwvare-. and Miss Maggieo Robinson were united in marriage, at the residence of Mr. J. M. Galloway, near White Oak. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a few friends by the Rev. d, M. Glalloway, of Yorkvllle. The young couple re celved the congratulations of friends present, after which an elegant dinig was served In honor of the occasion.
