ward in June; and these. with the later
sorts, are in market, almost without in

dance, were grown about .Boston and

is particularly unfavorable to their cul
ture, Ciuliflowors require very high
cultivation, oven moro so than cabba

grown in the kitchen garden, or upoii a

The demand isevidently rapidly increas
ing, and there is no more telictous v( g-I
otable grown. -
Cold-fi-ame ilanfts are probably the
best and lardiest fotr early crops; the
frames, however, need rather more pro
tection during cold niglts, tlni 1iy re
quired for cabbage plants. Seeds sown
in hot-beds in Februar;v, will produco
plants that are not much, if any, inferi
or to cold-frame plants, They should
be transplanted out once, before setting
in the open ground, and also should be
gradually ltardented by exposure; in this
way, they may be in coudition to sot
out as early in April as the ground will
pefmit. Set the early sorts about two
