To Iis Honor '. B. Fraser, Presid

The grand jury would respectfully
report
That they have examined the various
publie buitldings, and find then to be
generally in good order, with the ex
caption of' sone slight repairs that are
needed upon the conuty jail and the
court house. We flaid the prisoners'
cells in the jail to be in a nieat aiid
coiftiortable condition, and that the
prisoners have been well treated and
cared for.
Thei poor house was found to be in
good order, and the inmates have been
kindly andct properly treated by the
suiperiiteldelit.
The public offices have been visited
by us, and their condition is all that
could be desired, reflecting great credit
upon those to whom their keeping is
entrusted. The books are all ieatly
and correctly kept, and the appearanee
of order and system pervades the sev
eral offices.
W0 have examined tle books of the
trial justices, atnd, as far as could be
itscertainied, theyt are neatly and satis
factorily 11111de UP.
The public roads and bridges are
reported to be inl as good condition as
the sate of, the veatiher and the cir
c1mstaices will periit.
