INOENDI)ARY Fin.-Andy Brown, a hardv-working colored mnan, a tenant on Col. Jno. L. Black's place, had his corn house fired by an incendiary on the night of Friday before last. His loss is about one hundred bushels of corn and one thousand pounds of fod der. The design was to burn him. out e ntirely, and destroy two very valuable mules, his own property. The nuies were in a stable only twenty feet from the corn house, which was within twenty feet of his cotton-seed house containing two or three hundred bush els of cotton-seed and a bale of un ginmed cotton. the building burnt was within fifty feet of his dwelling. The wind was towards the other build ings. The mules were saved with nmuch trouble, and by the timely arriv } al of aid the corn house was pulled down while burning, thus saving the other buildinis. Andy Is not of the color Hobbs would arrest, so some of his acomplicCs "burn him out." One /of Hobbs' friends, who has served one ~'term in the penitentiary, say~s AndIy shall iiot thrive, in this he is mistak en. Andy is out of debt and has some Sthing to his credit left to go onl. a," Transfers of Real Estate. ~Since our last rep~ort the following Y4transfers of real estate have beeni en tered in the office of the county audi tor" F Lebruary 22, 1881.
