HIUNGARIAN GRASS.-SevCral y'ears
ago I tried the experiment of raising
1lfungarian for a grass crop for winter

fesults-to me-I have raised several
acres yearly since, There wore many
objections offered-the exhaustive ohar
actor of the grass upon tile soil, and the
ext ra labor to properly secure the crop,
etc.; but I find that the objections
were, when tested, only niyths. I do
not regard It as a more exhaustive crop
than oats. Tihe plan I follow is to put
about ten loads of barn manure per

about, three pecks of seed per Iere,
then roll with a. moderately heavy 1,ind

until tile following afternoon, when it

After stanilng three or four days thie

tie best coarse feeds, and for dairy cows
it has no superior. Fed once per diy
