Tigekler's mill dan), which was of stone, was washed away and his wheel was carried down stream a long way. The house itself wAs considerably danaged. Freshly's mill on Broktd River has also been washed away. Mr. Thomas AndQrson lost his 11ill Am. No serious- damages aro reported from the \yatereo Side of the county. DEATH OF MRS. MADDEN.-We are pained to announce th.e death of Irs. Martha Madden, wife of Dr. T. B. MAdden, of \Yinnsboro, which ,occurred on Monday morning. M\rs. Madden had been in feeble health for some time, suffering from con sumption, and her death yvas not -unexpected. She wyas the daugliter .the late William B~rice, Fesq., of this .county, and a sister of Mr. James .A. Brice, of this place. SheG leaves hoer husband and three cl:ildren to mouru her loss. The next meeting of the Associa tion will be hold at Winnsboro, on the first TI'hursday in August, 1879. A committee of arrangements for this meeting will be appointed by the President of the Sq'rvivors' Association of Fairfield cournty. The executive committee are of the opinion that the organizations of the 6th Regiment SulrviyQrs now existing in V/aii-ield equnty ald i N Chester county, Imay further the ends of the Regimental Association, and they recommend that similar Associations be organized in other sections of the State where mnem Lerfi of Phe Sixth reside.
