PosITIVE RESULTS.--There are nu
merous remedies that cure some
times and become trusted as useful.
but none have ever proved so effec
tual-cured so many and such re
markable diseases-as Dr. Ayer's
medicines.
The cherry Pectoral has restored
great numbers of patients who were
believed to be hopelessly affected
with consumption.
Ague Cure breaks up chills and
fever quickly and surely.
Ayer's Compound Extract of Sar
sparilla eradicates scrofula and im,
purities of the blood,. cleanses the
system and restores it to vigorous
health. By its timely use- many
tronblesotue disorders that cause a
decline of hoalth are expelled or
cured.
Ayer's Pills and their effecta. are
too well known everywhere to re
quire any commendation from us

TOTAL ABSTINENCE SAYING WIE TILL IT
RIPENS.
There is a curious story about some native
wines which are extensively advertised nowa
days, and have only recently been put upon
the market. Dr. Underhill, the well-known
grape-grower of Croton Point, died in 587r.
me of his heirs entertained temperance
views of such extreme kind; that they were
unwilling to allow the stock of wines then on
hand to be sold or any more to be made.
The grapes have sometimes been sent to
market, and sometimes left to decay upon
the sines. It Is only now that the other heirs
have succeeded in arranging for a sctt'cment
of the estate and the sale of the wines on
hand. Among these is a wine of the %intage
of z864, described as a "Sweet Union Port,
but suggesting the Imperial Tokay more
than any other European wine, and being
wvholly unlike any other wine of American
growth. Its purity, age and mellowness are
remarkable, and both physicians and wiine
fanciers have a special interest in it as the
oldest native wvine now accessihle in any con
siderable quantity. The whole stoc'kis'in the
hands of the well-known wholesale grocery
house of the Thurbers.-N. Y. Tribuene,
Nov. 19, zd;7.
-The above speaks for Itself, but we would
add that this Is the pure juice of the grape,
neither drugged, lignored nor 'watered/ that it
has been ripened and mellowed by age, and
for medicinal or sacramental purposesa It is
unsurpassed. It can be obtained from most
of the leading Druggists throughout the
United States, and at wholesale from the
undersigned, who will forward descriptive
pamphlet, free of charge, on application.
Respectfully, etc.,
