It is always reliable and contains nothing injurious. * The Winnsboro Danocratic Club met in the court-house on Tuesday night, but, owing to the unfavorable weather, there was but a small turn out of the members. It was there fore concluded best to defer the selection of .the different committees till a future meeting. AROUND TowN.-Bring back that umbrella. Butter and eggs plentiful and cheap. Calisthenics are the go in the pub lie schools. The number of candidates is daily increasing. Tuesday was a bad day for street" corner gossip. A revenue detective has been nosing around. The cool weather is making the crops look droopy. Heavy,.rains and cold weath'er on Tuesday. T.he last of the dry goods boxes wvent into the fire. The Winnsboro Democratic Club met on Tuesday night. No impor taut business was transacted. The "lean nine" had to haul on their overcoats Tuesday, and no doubt found th.em quite comfortable. THE WATEREE DEhrocAcY.--The Democrats of Water.e have met and reorganized under the name of the "Oakland Democratic Club," have adopted the new constitution, and have elected new officers as followe: President-James Pagan. Vice-Presidents--John Hlollis and Sichard Mgatchett. Secretary-A. J. Lamar. Treasurer-D. H. Robertson., Cor. Secretary-T. L. Johnson. Executive Committee- Jas. P. Cason, W. A. Smith, R. B. Smith. Member County Executive Coin nittee-R. P. Lumpkin, On motion, it was resolved that all persons now enrolled becon' *idered members of the club. It 'was also resolved that hereafter no person can be admitted to member. Bhip except by a vote of two--thirds of the club. It was further re, solved that the following oath be required of every person previous to his enrollment: "I solemnly swear that I will rote for ad mns. thin all the nominees of the Demo.. cratio party, national, State and county."
