Infantrv was; held in the Town Hall, at Winnsboro, S. C. On Monday, the 18th Mareb, 1878., The meeting was organized by call ing Ma j. '. W. Woodtward to the chair. After a short address, the object of the rennion was stated, and, J. W. Chandler being called to act as secretary, the meeting at once p)roceeded to the business before it. On motion of Capt. iR C.Clowniey, thme constitution as8 adopted by the Chestor comp)anies (A, F and I) of the same regiment wa.s read by tho chair. -On motion of Mr. W. F. Jackson, this constitution was read and adopted by setions, with a few necessary alterations. On mo, ti,n of Mr W W. hetchin, Compa ny D, Edgefioldl count1)y, waLs ad mittedl to this organization. On motion of Mr. WV. F. Jackson, the 11 th day of April wvas chosen as the anniversary of this reunion, the quarterly meetings to be held on the 11th day of April, July, Octobe?r and January. On miotion of. Mr. WV. WV. Ketchin it was resolved that if the 11th day of either muon th faills on Sunday, the president shall appoint the day for the meeting. On motion of Capt. HI. A. Gail lard, it was resolved thamt all mnom boe of any company connected with the Sixth Regiment at any time from the date it was called into service to the close of the late war, together with the Field and Staff, aro cor dially inlvited( to unite with this re--umon. On motion of Mr. W. WV. Koctchin, the following constitution was then unani mously adopted: Wh/ereas, For the p)urpose of a reunion of Companies i), G and HJ, Sixth Regiment, S. C. V., to prepJare and perpetuate a record of said comn panies from their organizamtion until the close of the late wvar, wo have met this day and determined to collect any and all information looking to the above object, for which purpose we have resolved to be governed b)y the following at ti.. cles as a constitution: I.
