Sucoonsm'r.-Now that the good people of Winnsboro aro making such hanlsome eil'arts in behdal: of dcserving objecet5, it is not amiss to call their attention to a need fully as pressing as any yet presonted, and to an object which will repay any outlay ia hlndre(1 fold. When Mount Zion College was destroyed by firo all its furniture was lost. The new Insti tuto is much in need of maps, globes, geometrical figures rand other aids to knowledge, by the use of which the diplculty of imparting and of receiving instruction would be greatly lessened, The College is an old lnmark, and has many days of usefulness before it. Any money expended to bring it to t iigher degree of efliciency will, by the honefits conferred on the rising generation, amply repay the givers. Even a hundred dollars would go a great way towards fitting u) the Institute as proposed. While the people are helping the Christian Association and the Rifle Clb, will they not do something for nit insti. tution that has at one time or anotheri had thu alm~ost all within o her walls ?
