Dr. Cree is a native of Scotland
and he received his academic educa
tion In St. Mark’s School,
England. He came to this country
before attaining his majority and en
tered Wake Forest College in North
Carolina, where he received the de
gree of Master of Arts. He then en
tered the Southern Baptist Theologi
cal Seminary at Ixjuisville, Ky.,
where he took the degree of Doctor
of Theology. After bis graduation
from the seminary he was called to
the pastorate of the First Baptist
church at Gaffney, S. C„ and from
there went to the church at Louis
