The reason for desiring to take Christensen out of the senate is to divest him of the power that makes the knowledge he has, so dangerous to men who have acquired wealth and power by betraying the integrity of the State. Good judges who un derstand the character and disposi tion of the voters of Beaufort better than we do, say that Mr. Christensen will win in spite of the tremedous fiu'hr that has been inaugurated against him, and for the honor of that county as well as for the whole State, we sincerely hope that their judg ment will prove true.
