Some days ago Wm. Phillips, Esq.,

This Is positively one of the best mus

number on the program but secured
an encore.”—The Denver Dally News.

Sow down your lawns about the first of April—sooner the better.
For a rich, green velvety kwn, sow our Permanent Lawn Seed—sow
at the rate of one quart to 300 square feet—price per quart, 35 cents.
Plant our two pound Tomato, the largest and meatiest Tomato
grown, one Tomato sliced will fill a medium size dish, 10 cents per
paper.
Plant our Silver Skin and Yellow Danver Onion Sets, 10 cents per
quart.
We especially want to call the attention of the public to a few
varieties of Seeds that from our experience with truck farmers, are
particularly fine, namely, Alaska Peas, Rocky Ford Canteioupe,
Carolina Bradford Watermelon, Canning Tomato, extra early, Valen
tine Beans, Stringless Green Pod Bean. Our stock of these Seeds is
the purest strain.
In the Early Corn we carry Adams Extra Early, Early Cory,
Country Gentleman, Stowell’s Evergreen, White and Early Dent,
Snowflake and Columbia Beauty; we think these the pick, the best
of all the Early Corns.
For forage, we carry the Sorghum, Amber and Orange, the Mil
lets, Cat-Tail or Pearl and German, Teosiute and Peas.
We particularly recommend Teosiute to our customers as one of
the best forage crops for green food for cows. Can be cut every few
weeks. It stools out more and grows off better after being cut.

The Thimble Club Meeting.
The March meetings of the Thim
ble Club have been most enjoyable
occasions for those of the members
who were present and for the guests.
Mrs. T. B. Butler was hostess for
the meeting of March 13th at Mr*
Richardson’s home. It was a great
pleasure to have present as guests
Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Loring and Miss
Alexander. Delicious chocolate was
servoid, accompanied by fruit cake
and white layer cake. The hour
passed all too swiftly; even these
happy times must end.
March 27th Mrs. E. L.. Cole was
hostess for the club. After i&e mem
bers had all gathered each one was
given a strip of cloth with t button
hole cut in it and needle already
threaded. At the tap of the bell all
began to work these, the contest be
ing to work the best button-hole in
the shortest time. Amidst much mer
riment the work went on till finally
one and then another had hers finish
ed. The judge decided that the best
worked one was No. 4 and this proved
also to have been one In the shortest
time, three minutes, by Mrs. S. H.
Griffith. Mrs. Boyd Hames was last
in finishing and had done some
“rapid” work, especially on the sec
ond half of hers.
A delightful ice course with ma
hogany cake and festinos was served
by the hostess who had as her assist
ant of the afternoon’s pleasure, her
charming daughter.
