minutes of sleight-of-hand, by Mr.

Mr. Loring has made a study of
this art, and his act promises to be
fun of interest. Among the tricks
he will perform will be the Chinese
rice bowls, the linking rings, rising
cards, etc. Following this act will
be a group of popular songs by Miss
Vara Satterwhite, a young lady whO
has just entered the college. Miss
Jessie Dew will then give a monolo

give a forty minutes play in one act,
entitled “The Piper’s Pay,” one of
th.e cleverest of the short plays.
The dummy will make as many
trips as may be necessary, and there
should be a large crowd. Rehearsals
are being held dally, and a splendid
evening’s enjoyment is assured to all
those who attend. Mr. Loring has
ordered special apparatus for his ma

who makes an the apparatus for the
professional magicians.
The Dramatic club has in prepara

famous 4)lay “Miss Hobbs,” by Je

A Gaffney Dentist Complimented.
The Cleveland Dental Association
met in regular semi-annual session
at Shelby, N. C., February 13-14. The
meeting was a most pronounced suc
cess. The Cleveland Star, in report
ing the meeting, pays the following
j compliment to Dr. “Billy” Gunter:
“The association was exceedingly
I fortunate in having present Dr. W.
IG. Gunter, of Gaffney, S. C., who is
an expert artist in filling teeth with
Ascher’s artificial enamel. This ma
terial is comparatively new and Is
fast taking the place of g^ld espe
cially in front teeth where the color |
of gold is so conspicuous. This
enamel filling can be made the same
color of the teeth and the filling that
Dr. Gunter put in could not be detect-
! ed from the surrounding teeth sub;
stance three feet distant. This ma-
j terial bids fair not only to replace
gold but also the much talked of por^
celain filling; it lasts and looks as
well as porcelain.”

The man who succeeds in life is the man who looks,
ahead and plans for the future. He realises the fact that monej
is an absolute necessity if he intends to riso
in the world. A little study convinces him
that only through a bank account can he at
tain future prosperity and he plans his ac
tions accordingly. A small sum will suffice
for the opening of a bank account, and it
leads to all good things in financial way. It
establishes credit, insures the learning of
business methods and the respect of business
